Gilmer County High School will celebrate a major milestone in Lady Titans basketball history on January 30 during the Lady Titans’ home game against Wahama. The evening will honor all players who reached the 1,000-point scoring mark during their high school careers, recognizing their lasting impact on the program.
The junior varsity game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the varsity tip-off at 7:00 p.m. All 1,000-point scorers will be recognized prior to the start of the varsity game. In addition, the school will unveil new plaques commemorating each scorer’s achievement.
A hospitality room will be available for former players and their families in the large conference room, providing an opportunity to reconnect and celebrate together.
For those traveling to attend the event, discounted lodging has been arranged. The Glenville Inn has reserved a block of double queen rooms for the night of January 30 at a reduced rate of $82.89, including tax. Rooms can be secured by calling 304-462-5511 by January 28 and referencing the GCHS 1,000-Point Scorer Group.
