Coronavirus Information

Gilmer County Schools will be closed until further notice.  Non-traditional Instructional Day packets will begin on March 19, 2020.  A calendar as to how to complete these activities is available below to provide guidance.

Meal Delivery Plan and NTID/Snow Packet Information

  Food delivery plan for Gilmer County Schools for week of March 30 is as follows:

  • Gilmer County High School - Pick Up Drive Thru

     Tuesday, March 31, 7:30-10:30 a.m.


  • Gilmer County Elementary - Pick Up Drive Thru

     Tuesday, March 31, 7:30-10:30 a.m.


  • Gilmer County Schools will utilize all bus routes on Tuesday, March 31 during normal morning run times to deliver 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches


NTID/Snow Packet Information:

  • Newly developed elementary AND high school Nontraditional Instructional packets will be passed out at Gilmer Elementary School on Monday, March 30 from noon-5:00 and Tuesday, March 31 from 7:30-noon. Parents will need to enter the large parent loop and wait in line.  For health and safety reasons, parents/guardians will not be permitted to exit their car.  Packets will not be distributed on buses.  If you cannot obtain the packet Monday or Tuesday, please do not worry.  Teachers have been notified to be very flexible and understanding.  Please be patient as we distribute the materials.


    • Also, packets will not be collected by any school staff member.  This includes bus drivers, cooks, and teachers
