Summer Meals

Gilmer County Schools will be serving meals each week during summer starting on week of June 1 and going through week of August 3, 2020.  Meal pick up will be every Tuesday at Gilmer Elementary from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  We ask that parent/guardians use the bus loop and remain in your vehicles as the meal boxes will be brought to you.  Please remember that any child 18 years and under can have a meal box for free! If you are unable to pick up meals on Tuesday, please contact Joe Frashure at 304-462-7386 Ext. 100.

DMV Driver Eligibility Certificate - Summer Months

At this time parents/guardians that have students needing the DMV Driver Eligibility Certificate to take their driver’s test during summer months will need to email (no phone messages) Judy Stalnaker (jstalnaker@k12.wv.us)  during the week of May 18 through June 15, 2020.  Please include student’s whole name (including middle) and current mailing address.  Summer request forms will be processed as quickly as possible and the certificate issued.  Upon completion of the certificate, the parent/guardian will receive a return email indicating that the certificate can be picked up at the Gilmer County Board of Education Office between the hours of 8 - 4 or it can be mailed to the home address.  The DMV requires a pen and ink signature so the certificate cannot be emailed or faxed.  The certificate will be valid during summer months.  The window for the summer DMV Driver Eligibility Certificate is May 18 – June 15 with a prior email request.  Social distancing is being observed at the GCBOE.  Please do not come to the Gilmer County Board of Education Office in person needing the DMV Driver Eligibility Certificate without first submitting the email request and then having the confirmation email.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
