Summative Assessment Information for Students and Families

The WVDE Office of Assessment provides detailed information about all standardized assessments for West Virginia Students at https://wvde.us/assessment/. The links below will help guide students and families with understand the various tests, how families can support test preparation, and how to read and interpret score reports. Summative assessments provided to Gilmer County students annually include:

  • West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA)

  • SAT School Day

  • West Virginia Alternative Summative Assessment (WVASA)

  • National Assessment for Educational Progress
